Technical Name: Pyroxasulfone 85% WG AWKIRA is a pre-emergent herbicide for the management of resistant Phalaris minor in wheat crop. Application method: Pre emergent Soil application using a knapsack sprayer fitted with a flat fan nozzle /PI spray machine. Apply the herbicide with the recommended quantity of water. Mode of Action: Pyroxasulfone treatment drastically reduces the biosynthesis of very long chain fatty acids (VLCFAs) and causes a build-up of fatty acid precursors. Pyroxasulfone specifically inhibits many elongation steps catalyzed by VLCFA elongases.
